More than a year after the wastewater spill on the Black Warrior River, we continue to pursue legal action against Tyson Farms and others.

June 6, 2019, a pipe malfunction at the Tyson Farms plant in Hanceville sent hundreds of thousands of gallons of toxic wastewater into the Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River and killed an estimated 175,000 fish.

Mark Griffin, who runs a boat shop on the river in Dora, became severely ill in the weeks following the spill. Mr. Griffin spent months in the hospital where he underwent several painful surgeries.
